Experience
Over 12 years of practice, Stacey has had a varied career starting as a complex commercial litigator for large corporations at a big law firm in Manhattan, then working remotely in any area she could for small firms and startups while traveling the world. Working as a freelance attorney turned out to be an invaluable experience in running a business, that translated to Stacey’s skillset in advising small businesses.
Along the way, clients began asking for trademark application assistance, and Stacey gradually evolved her experience in litigation of trademark infringement claims to a full trademark prosecution practice, from clearance searches, applications and office action responses, to proceedings with the trademark board, and handling cease and desist demands.
Similarly, Stacey took her big law firm pro bono experience in successfully settling a New York City employee’s discrimination claim, as a jumping off point to a full employment practice. She has advised many clients, both on the employer and employee side, in handling termination and hiring negotiations and contracts, employment and contractor agreements, general policies, and connecting with out-of-state representation when required.
When not doing legal work, Stacey runs a jewelry and bow tie business with her girlfriend, called Monarch and Mariposa, where she handles all areas legal, corporate and financial.
